Reflecting on a Remarkable Year

As we look back on the past academic year, we are immensely proud of the outstanding achievements and outcomes of the pupils across our school. Below, you’ll find a summary of our 2024–2025 assessment results and key highlights.

Summary of Assessment Results End of 2024 – 2025

At Willesley, 9% more than the national average and 7% more than Leicestershire pupils achieved a good level of development across all areas of learning in the Early Years Foundation Stage.

At Willesley, 12% more than the national average and 10% more than Leicestershire pupils met the expected standard in the Phonics Screening Check.

At Willesley:

• 2nd highest RWM score out of 42 schools in North West Leicestershire 
• Reading: 15% higher than national and 13% higher than Leicestershire at the expected standard.
• Writing: 16% higher than both national and Leicestershire averages.
• Maths: 18% higher than national and 16% higher than Leicestershire.
• GAPS (Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling): 17% higher than national and 14% higher than Leicestershire.
• Combined Reading, Writing and Maths (RWM): 23% higher than both national and Leicestershire averages.

We are very proud that the pupils of Willesley School consistently achieve above national average in EYFS GLD, Year 1 Phonics and end of KS2 SATS.

Ashby Willesley Primary school is a mixed 4-11 primary school with 420 pupils on roll. The admission number is 60 pupils per year group, accommodated over 3 buildings: our Acorn, Oak and Treetops buildings.
