Safety and Security

At Ashby Willesley Primary School, we take the safety of our site and it's pupils very seriously. We understand that they are in our care during the school day.

That’s why we’re supporting Counter Terrorism Policing’s campaign to encourage everyone to help keep each other safe this winter.

We have security measures you can see and, of course, ones you can’t.

We ask you to help by staying alert and trusting your instincts.

While you’re with us, you will see our staff, who are there to help you if you need it.

If something doesn’t feel right, tell them straight away and they will do the rest. You won’t be wasting our time.

To ensure we respond swiftly and safely to any emergency event, we have developed a robust set of 'Emergency Procedures' which have been shared with our Trust, Local Governing Board and school staff. Pupils are also involved in these processes and practice these procedures on a termly basis. 

We do not publish this plan as it is a protected document and we would not wish to share our safety strategies and procedures with the public.
