I am a qualified nurse (RGN) and specialist community practitioner (BSc Hons). After completing my PGCE (IPPE)and Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), I am currently working as a Lecturer in health care practice - my main areas of teaching are palliative care and communication skills. I am committed to the professional development of others and myself, advancing practice, with quality and safe practice at the core.
My daughter has settled in well at Ashby Willesley Primary School and is currently in Key Stage One. She is really enjoying school and her new learning. I am a class representative for the Parent Forum at school, which I have done since my daughter started.
Being elected as a Parent Governor, I am keen to support the ongoing development of the school and ensure all the children at Willesley have opportunities to reach their full potential.
